Solidsport partners with the Central German Handball Federation and further strengthens its leading position in German amateur handball

The sports livestreaming provider Solidsport is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Central German Handball Federation (MHV). Starting from the 2025/2026 season, matches from the MHV men’s Regionalliga will be streamed live and exclusively on Solidsport.

The MHV, a collaboration between the regional handball federations of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia, is adopting an innovative and sustainable digital model that offers significant benefits to its clubs, teams, and partners.

Easy production and new revenue opportunities for clubs

Match broadcasts will be produced by the home teams themselves, who can use the Solidsport Broadcast App when needed – without technical barriers or additional investments. Through modern integrations with match and results management systems, administrative work is also reduced for both clubs and the federation.

At the same time, the model creates new revenue opportunities. Through digital tickets and subscriptions, viewers can directly support their teams. Sponsors and regional partners can also be seamlessly integrated into the broadcasts, gaining visible exposure both in the livestream and across individual streaming channels.

This creates a strong digital product that delivers real value for all stakeholders – sporting, commercial, and media-related. The platform remains free of charge for federations, clubs, and teams.

A new centralized home for regional handball

For the first time, all matches from the MHV Regionalliga will be available live and on demand in one central place. Fans gain easy access to high-quality broadcasts while supporting their favorite clubs through the purchase of streaming tickets.

Solidsport’s proven streaming technology ensures a professional and engaging viewing experience for fans, clubs, and the federation alike.

“The competitions in the Central German Regionalliga for both women and men have been well established for many years. Youth competitions are also becoming more attractive year by year,” says Stefan Scholz, Chairman of the MHV.

“The partnership with Solidsport will further increase the attractiveness for clubs and the many fans.”

Continued growth in German handball

With the addition of the MHV Regionalliga, Solidsport’s handball portfolio in Germany now includes eight regional leagues from the upcoming season, alongside multiple federation and upper-level leagues. This highlights the company’s continued growth and the strong trust placed in its partnership model.

“We are very pleased to welcome the Central German Handball Federation and its competitions as a partner,” says Henry Blunck, Country Manager at Solidsport.

“The positive feedback from participating clubs shows that we are filling an increasingly important gap. Since their restructuring last year, the Regionalligen have established themselves as a strong part of the German handball landscape. As flagship competitions of the regional federations, they regularly attract full arenas and offer high-quality matches. Combined with Solidsport’s smart streaming solutions, this creates an attractive and sustainable media product that generates significant value for clubs, the federation, and viewers.”

With this partnership, Solidsport continues to expand its presence in German handball. The platform already collaborates with regional federations across the country, as well as in several European markets. This latest agreement further underlines Solidsport’s long-term growth strategy and its strong position as a leading streaming provider in amateur and youth sports.
