Solidsport affected by large-scale DDoS attack – police report filed
1:08

On Saturday, sports streaming platform Solidsport was subjected to a large-scale and coordinated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which temporarily affected access to the platform and ongoing live broadcasts.

The attack began Saturday in the early afternoon with a smaller traffic increase that later proved to be a test ahead of more extensive attacks. This was followed by multiple coordinated attacks during the day.

Solidsport has filed a police report with the Swedish Police Authority regarding the attack and is now awaiting the initiation of a formal investigation. The purpose is to establish responsibility for the incident and to assess potential claims related to the damages caused, both to Solidsport and, where applicable, to affected partners.

This was a serious and well-coordinated attack aimed at disrupting both our service and our partners’ events. Our technical team acted quickly and methodically throughout the incident. We take this extremely seriously and are now fully cooperating with the relevant authorities, says Johan Lundqvist, CEO of Solidsport.
