SHFV launches its own streaming platform
The Schleswig-Holstein Football Association and Solidsport enter into a long-term partnership and launch SHFV.TV – a future-oriented and sustainable livestreaming and video-on-demand platform for all competitions.
The Schleswig-Holstein Football Association (SHFV) and the European sports streaming provider Solidsport have agreed on a forward-looking, long-term partnership. Starting from the 2025/26 season, football matches under the SHFV umbrella will have a new digital home: SHFV.TV – the livestreaming and video-on-demand platform of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association. In particular, matches from the Flens-Oberliga and the LOTTO Cup will be centrally, consistently, and exclusively available for viewers and fans on the association’s own platform from the upcoming season. And this is just the beginning. Teams from other leagues and divisions within the region will also be able to present and monetize their content on SHFV.TV.
The opportunity to stream matches live online on SHFV.TV not only gives football fans the chance to follow their teams’ matches in real time. It also enables clubs to generate revenue. Everyone benefits from this. I am delighted that we can now offer this attractive and innovative solution within football in Schleswig-Holstein and continue to strengthen the sport in our region, says Uwe Döring, President of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association.
Behind the name Solidsport is a sophisticated concept developed in Sweden nine years ago, which has rapidly expanded across Europe in recent years. Clubs that independently broadcast their matches, for example using systems such as VEO, and offer them behind an integrated paywall, receive 50 percent of the revenue. The platform is free of charge for all clubs within SHFV. In addition to matches, other video content can be published, and clubs can also showcase their own partners and sponsors in a profitable way. It is a win-win model that provides participating clubs not only with digital reach but also with new revenue streams.
Through the partnership with Solidsport, football in Schleswig-Holstein will gain greater visibility. Interest in matches across the region will continue to grow, benefiting clubs, fans, and everyone who loves our sport. The concept of our new partner Solidsport has proven itself and now results in the exciting, innovative solution SHFV.TV. I am already looking forward to the upcoming season, says Tim Cassel, Managing Director of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association.
In addition to single matches and season passes, viewers on SHFV.TV will also be able to purchase supporter subscriptions for their favorite teams in the future. For clubs, these new monetization opportunities represent an important step towards stronger financial sustainability. Solidsport, founded in Sweden in 2016 and active in the German market since 2021, has developed into the largest sports streaming provider in Europe in recent years. The company, headquartered in Hamburg, has also been a partner of the Regionalliga Nord since the 2023/24 season and is therefore already well known to many viewers in northern Germany.
We are proud and happy about the partnership with the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association. SHFV is a traditional yet forward-thinking and innovative regional association with exciting competitions that deserve a professional stage. With SHFV.TV, participating clubs gain access to a modern and smart streaming solution where they can showcase themselves and their partners in a profitable way, says Henry Blunck, Country Manager DACH at Solidsport.
Viewers can switch between teams, leagues, and events on SHFV.TV with just a few clicks, experiencing the diverse football landscape of Schleswig-Holstein both live and on demand. By purchasing digital tickets, they directly support the clubs and help strengthen the sport in the region – fully transparent and easy to track.
Through the active collaboration of all parties, an attractive and sustainable media product is created that delivers significant added value for clubs, the association, and viewers, says Henry Blunck, Country Manager DACH at Solidsport.
The goal of the partnership is to significantly increase the visibility of amateur and competitive sports in the region and to open up new opportunities for digital monetization. Youth competitions and additional leagues within the association will gradually be integrated – all on SHFV.TV, the central streaming platform for football in Schleswig-Holstein.
